Friday’s progress on the Buddhist Sand Mandala . . .

As you probably know by now from all my blog entries, we have 5 Tibetan monks in Laguna Beach this week creating a Sand Mandala for 5 days. They’re at the Neighborhood Congregational Church at Glenneyre and St. Ann’s. This is really something you have to see. I know I’ve said it 15 times . . . . I’m going to say it at least two more times in this blog . . .

Buddhist monks have begun “Compassion Painting” in Laguna Beach

This morning (Thurs, Oct. 28), the Laguna Beach Neighborhood Congregational Church welcomed 5 Tibetan monks (all the way from India) to its sanctuary. For the next five days, these monks will be creating an original sand painting (Sand Mandala) as an expression and call for compassion in Laguna Beach and around the world. This was quite an opening event to witness . . .
