As you probably know by now from all my blog entries, we have 5 Tibetan monks in Laguna Beach this week creating a Sand Mandala for 5 days. They’re at the Neighborhood Congregational Church at Glenneyre and St. Ann’s. This is really something you have to see. I know I’ve said it 15 times . . . . I’m going to say it at least two more times in this blog. What they’re doing is such a phenomenal gift.
This is the latest from Friday’s work. I have many, many more photos that I’ll be loading shortly. I’ve decided to also load this week’s work in my photo gallery – purchase any photos there and ALL proceeds will be given to these monks directly to further support their efforts. More on that later . . .
Just click on my previous entries to see how far they’ve progressed. See:
As an interesting aside, I was asked to photograph the monks Friday afternoon on a fun Laguna Beach excursion. Their hosts are trying to give them a fair “taste” of Laguna and, with Billy Fried’s help from La Vida Laguna, the monks learned how to ocean kayak for the first time yesterday! How much fun did I have yesterday afternoon?! Here’s just one photo – I’ll be loading more very shortly!
I’m off to see what my friendly monks have created today, their 3rd day. Please take the time to get down to the Neighborhood Congregational Church before they complete the Mandala on Tuesday morning. It’s a memory you want to have.
